As a Fitness and Lifestyle Empowerment Coach I have dedicated myself to helping people develop stronger, healthier bodies and mindsets since 1991. My career began when I became an aerobics instructor for the purpose of overcoming debilitating shyness and lack of confidence. What happened in the meantime was I fell in love with fitness, teaching and with helping others become stronger more confident individuals.
As the fitness industry continued to grow and develop so did I. I went on to become a Program Manager for a large rapidly growing chain of clubs, a club owner, a Personal Trainer, a Fitness Director, and a Club Manager.
My curious and creative mind combined with a love of leadership and change worked well for me in this field. My skills have allowed me to successfully develop and implement programming and build teams in various facilities over the years. I am grateful for every individual who trusted me and allowed me to work with them.
My focus as a personal coach is anchored in my belief that the physical body and feelings of health and wellness have a profound impact on one’s ability to view life from a positive and empowering perspective.
I am also an author and in 2014 published my first novel Butterflies Among Us. It wasn’t a book I had initially intended on publishing because bringing my fictionalized story to light was scary. But I came to realize that believing in yourself and overcoming your fear is always worth it.
Butterflies Among Us is a book about love, life and perspective. It’s about our ability as human beings to decide how we will show up in our lives one day at a time. It’s also a story of how we can take disappointing and sometimes tragic circumstances and turn them into beautiful opportunities to grow. It is an inspiring story about how Sarah, the main character, takes her despair and uses it to embrace a second chance at life.
I believe by taking ownership of your life and your body we are all truly unstoppable.
It is my mission to help you do that by deciding that living your best life is the only option.
